Planes don't fly, trains don't run, banks don't operate without much of what IBM does. ---Ginni Rometty
The tagline "THINK" is connected with the American multinational technology corporation IBM.

Thomas J. Watson coined the phrase "THINK" in December 1911, while leading the National Cash Register Company's sales and advertising departments. Formalized paraphrase Watson stopped an uninspired sales conference by declaring "The trouble with every one of us is that we don't think enough. We don't get paid for working with our feet — we get paid for working with our heads".
Asked later what he meant by the slogan, Watson replied, "By THINK I mean take everything into consideration. I refuse to make the sign more specific. If a man just sees THINK, he'll find out what I mean. We're not interested in a logic course." Watson presented the motto to the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (CTR) and its subsidiaries in 1914, all of which subsequently formed IBM.
THINK is also an IBM brand; ThinkPads are laptop computers, and ThinkCentre are business-oriented desktop PCs.
Since 2018, IBM's flagship conference has been known as Think.
So you've figured out how THINK came to be, right? So, let's get to the interesting aspect of this article: the important highlights from the IBM Think 2021 event.
Think 2021
IBM is undergoing a corporate makeover. The company continues to provide cutting-edge research output in hardware, software, and the cloud while also developing some really unique products. On May 11, IBM unveiled improvements in AI, hybrid cloud, and quantum computing at its flagship event, Think Conference 2021.
Arvind Krishna, Chairman, and CEO of IBM began his speech by discussing how the pandemic created significant disruption but also spurred digital change. Arvind stated, “everywhere you look, the forces of digital technology are turning our economies on its head. As the world recovers, there is no going back. We’ll reflect on this past year as the moment when the world entered the digital century in full force”. Arvind also said, said, “In the same way that we electrified factories and machines in the past century, we will use hybrid cloud to infuse AI into software and systems in the 21st Century.”

Collaboration, security, and modernization are more important than ever with digital transformation in full swing. In its mission to modernize systems and organizations, I think IBM is all-in on a hybrid cloud and AI. These technologies demonstrate IBM's commitment to assisting its clients and partners in accelerating their digital transformation, automating time-consuming tasks, and facilitating collaboration.
Announcements section
IBM made five significant announcements.
Auto SQL

IBM has unveiled a new AutoSQL capability for its IBM Cloud Pak for Data. But the question is what is Cloud Pak? Let me explain it to you in a very brief manner. IBM Cloud Paks are AI-powered hybrid cloud software that can assist you in completely implementing intelligent workflows in your organization to speed digital transformation. Because it is based on Red Hat OpenShift, you can create applications once and deploy them everywhere on any cloud. The latest iteration of IBM Cloud Pak for Data will assist clients in quickly implementing AI while eliminating complications by linking the appropriate data to the appropriate people.

Auto SQL is a high-performance, universal query engine that allows customers to utilize the same search across disparate data sources, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data. Customers will save time and resources that would otherwise be spent on migrating data and maintaining various query engines. The AI-powered platform will be used to automate data access, integration, and administration for AI, regardless of where and how the data is stored or organized.

Watson Orchestrate
Source:- IBM
IBM Watson Orchestrate is a self-service, interactive AI application that may assist an organization in performing routine and mission-critical operations more quickly. These activities might range from simple ones like scheduling meetings and sending emails to more difficult ones like developing sales proposals and obtaining permissions.

Project CodeNet
Source:- IBM
IBM Project CodeNet is an open-source dataset containing 14 million code samples and about 500 million lines of code in over 55 different programming languages ranging from COBOL, Pascal, and FORTRAN to more recent languages such as C++, Java, Python, and Go.
Ruchir Puri, Chief Scientist of IBM Research, stated, “Given its wealth of programs written in a multitude of languages, we believe Project CodeNet can serve as a benchmark dataset for source-to-source translation and do for AI and code what ImageNet dataset did years ago for computer vision.”

Qiskit Runtime
Source:- IBM
Before moving on to Qiskit Runtime, let us first know what is IBM Qiskit. Qiskit is an open-source quantum computing framework. It includes tools for writing and altering quantum programs, as well as running them on IBM Quantum Experience experimental quantum devices or simulators on a local computer.
So now what is Qiskit Runtime? Qiskit Runtime is a new IBM Quantum architecture that speeds computations that need many iterations. Within this improved hybrid quantum/classical method, these tests will run much faster. Customers can use this program to perform complex calculations and modeling in hours rather than weeks.

A research team at IBM Quantum, for example, was able to obtain a 120x speedup in their lithium hydride simulation by using Qiskit Runtime. Qiskit Runtime enables authorized users to upload Qiskit quantum programs for usage by themselves or others. A Qiskit quantum program, also known as a Qiskit Runtime program, is a piece of Python code that accepts inputs, executes quantum and perhaps classical computation, provides intermediate results interactively if requested, and delivers the processing results.
What's Quantum Computing?
Source:- IBM Quantum Computing
Quantum computing is the use of aggregate features of quantum states to accomplish computation, such as superposition and entanglement. Quantum computers are machines that do quantum calculations. Quantum computers calculate the probability of an object's state before measuring it, rather than just 1s or 0s, which means they have the capacity to process exponentially more data than conventional computers.
